![]() ![]() This kept the room full of cool, fresh air. The two front sliding windows and bathroom vent window provide a great ventilation system for the ocean front rooms, even on the hottest days. To further reduce problems, the maintenance staff was constantly clearing all outside walkways and stairs of sand/debris. If debris was brought in during the day, they were more than willing to do a touch-up sweeping. ![]() Their laminate flooring was easy to clean and was kept spotless each day by housekeeping – no hint of sand, moisture, beach debris, or musty/moldy smells in any part of the room, including the bathroom area. First, there was no carpet in our room to become wet, moldy, musty, and mildewed despite the best cleaning efforts. There are some great things they do to counteract this problem. Any beach vacation can mean a lot of wetness and sand potentially being dragged into the rooms. The hotel is within a minute's stroll to all the typical beach tourist activities on Broadway Street, but is far enough away from the Broadway “turn-around” on the promenade to mute any of the noisy action that focuses there, especially at night. Beach access across the promenade is within feet of the lobby's back door. These fine folks at The Seashore Inn have made a commitment to their customers to provide the best experience they can for couples and families who come to Seaside to have a great beach vacation, with emphasis on “the beach”. If you want whatever that might mean in the conventional sense, go somewhere else in Seaside and pay $100-$200 more a night at any of the other “resort” and chain hotels that have been getting hideously low online reviews on most of the travel search sites. First of all to set things in perspective, this is not, I repeat, is not a “resort” hotel and you should not expect it to be. We had a “Classic Ocean-Front, Double Queen” room on the second floor. Overall though for one night not bad.Had a wonderful stay. It comes with instant oatmeal without any milk, you have to add water, orange/apple juice, assortment of bagels, and apple/blueberry muffins, and coffee. It was really nice getting into a hot tub that was actually hot. I couldn't work the DVD and the night clerk was not helpful, but the staff during the day and morning were nice. it is pretty much a shower, it is a one small person tub! That was a surprise! I have Enclosed a picture. If I was on the upper levels I would have had the sliding doors open all night. And yes you do not have AC, it does get warm in the room and we could only leave this 8x10 window open all night because we were on the bottom level. ![]() But lucky me when I moved the table I found. Looking around it did seem clean, but if you move something, you will find something. We stayed in the King bed deluxe with patio ocean view. reading the reviews of past visitors made me a bit worried. ![]()
